Holiday season has us in a giving mood: The first of our monthly giveaways for exciting Sim-Lab hardware has found its winner!

2024 may be winding down, but we are only just getting started: Our second giveaway this December, and the first of our monthly giveaways, kicks off. As a thank you to our supporters, we have teamed up with Sim-Lab to give our Premium Members a chance to take home an XP1 two-pedal set worth €490.

Being a Premium Member not only means that you get to enjoy an ad-free experience on OverTake or can participate in our racing club, it now also offers an opportunity to win great sim racing gear each and every month. The support of our Premium Members is extremely important to us, so want to say thank you with opportunities like this to create more value for Premium Memberships.

While we will have other products from Sim-Lab’s line-up (and are working to be able to offer other manufacturers’ gear as well), December’s winner will get to enjoy a load-cell pedal set that offers great adjustability in the Sim-Lab XP1 set. The brake load cell is capable of handling a maximum of 200kg of pressure, which makes them an excellent piece of gear. We are running them on some of our office rigs, too!

Do you know if they come without a floor platform? And do they have USB to connect them independently? It's not that I'm going to have to, but just in case...

It's the two pedal set, the base-plate is separate. The pedals are connected to a controller box so in theory you could run just one pedal if needed.

Something to replace the 'old' G29 with a busted clamp base, perhaps likely DD, and three pedals is a must, no belt drive, and a swapable wheel for an old no button wooden rim*... and a proper gated gearstick (shifter)

I'm still waiting for an article on sim racing gear designed for pre noobs 🤔 :geek:

* I don't have one but I really really want one, as I love the cars up to the mid 70's after that mostly meh!

While the Sim Gear I have does the job and I'm more than happy with it, my PC is another story. It's quite under powered for today's Sims, struggling to run them in all their graphical glory. I'm a bit concerned that ACEvo might be its demise.....lol

Just need to work smarter:)

Good luck everyone, I had the pleasure of trying out these pedals a while back and been in love with them ever since so I think they’ll be my next upgrade if I don’t win them or when the funds allow lol
