Welcome to the Overtake.GG New Year Games Night! A night of epic, non-serious races with crazy rules that change each race. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH RACE or you will be very confused otherwise.

We will be using 4 different cars on one track. All of these are free mods not DLC. Use the practice session to drive all the cars to get used to them, as we will be switching between them quickly and only having a 5 minute warmup to get used to the cars before the next race.

Being in the Discord Voice Chat IS MANDATORY for this event. Any questions and instructions will be answered or given by voice in English, as it will be too much to type in the in-game chat. All information is written out in this post or will be clarified in the voice chat, so there are no excuses if you don't know what to do if you don't join the VC or read here. The only thing typed in the chat by myself will be the cars you need to switch into.

Signup teams
There are two Teams to sign up to. Please as you sign up try to balance it out as we need an equal number of people in each group. For two of these races you will be split into different classes, so if you wish to specifically race someone in that race, join their Team.

Practice
Use this hour-long session (plus any time you go on the server before the event) to do some laps and perfect a setup in all four cars we will race with. You will do at least 1 race with each car. Get used to other cars on track and faster cars must always give way to the slower cars in corners and must pass safely.

Qualifying
Only 1 5 minute qualifying session will take place in the Tatuus F3 cars. They set the grid for Race 1. From Race 2 onwards, the grid will be set by the finishing order of the previous race. This will also include whatever mess that leaves the grid in for the multiclass races!

Warmup
After everyone has finished each race, we will head to the Warmup sessions for everyone to change their car to whatever the next race is. The order will be defined below.

RACE 1 - F3 One-Gear race (8 Laps)

• All Drivers - Tatuus F.3 T-318

In this race, you will have to choose one gear per lap and keep in it. Go too high and struggle to accelerate, or go too low and not get much top speed? At the start, race as normal until you reach the gear you want to stay in and stick with that to the end of the lap. At the Finish Line, you MUST change gear, so you never do consecutive laps in the same gear. You are allowed to go back to previously chosen gears once you have been in another.

RACE 2 - Multiclass Madness #1 (8 Laps)

• Team A - Boxmaster 2015
• Team B - McLaren MP4/13

In this race, half the drivers will be in F1 cars, and half will be in massive Vans. The F1 cars will likely do 2 laps in the space of the Boxmasters doing 1. Closing speeds will be massive and the Boxmasters are really wide. So good luck.

RACE 3 - Multiclass Madness #2 (8 Laps)

• Team A - McLaren MP4/13
• Team B - Boxmaster 2015

All drivers swap into the other cars for race 2. Inevitably, this leaves the grid with the Boxmasters in front of the McLarens due to the previous result. Oh well

RACE 4 - Superkarts 3rd-Place wins (8 Laps)
In this race, whoever finishes the race in 3rd place is the winner and everyone else loses. This will likely leave 6 or 7 Laps of proper racing before everyone slows down to shuffle places. 3rd wins the race and the driver who sets the fastest lap in the race gets 2nd place on the grid for the next race.

RACE 5 - Fuel Not-so-Economy (8 Laps?)
For this race, you may pick any car of the Four which have been raced so far. Put whatever the game says is 4 Laps worth of fuel in the setup window. When the race starts, the winner is the first person to run out of fuel. Do whatever you like, but please try to keep moving forwards and race your opponents. When you run out of fuel, pull off the track safely and come to a stop. Tell us in Voice Chat once you are out of fuel, as that determines the winner! If there's a tiebreak, first car to come to a complete stop wins.

RACE 6 - RELAY (4 Laps)
All racers will be put into teams of 4 (or whatever works for division based on numbers). Each player takes a different car and is given time to plan a strategy. The first cars from each team will be shuffled to the front of the grid. When the race starts, only the first 4 cars are to head off and do the first lap. Everyone else needs to sort themselves out so they are lined up down the pitwall in the order they want to go, leaving space for cars to pass at speed on track left. Once the car from your team has crossed the startline, the next car may set off around for its lap. Finished cars can either sit out the race in the runoff of Turn 1, or escape back to the Pits and watch the race on the replay screens. The winners will be the team that finishes with all 4 first.

So come along, be ready for a bit of fun and carnage, don't take it too seriously and lets kick off 2025 with an epic night of games!
