WATCH: iRacing Season 1 2025 Update Hands-on With Emily

The 2025 Season 1 update for iRacing is here, so it is time to dive into the most important additions to find out if the sim is ready for 2025.

Plenty of new content, new features and adjustments - as always, the latest iRacing update is packed to the brim. How does Season 1 2025 look in action, though? @Emily Jones took a closer look for us - check out the video above for her hands-on experience with the latest iRacing update.

The highlights of the update include the Ferrari 499P hypercar, The Acura NSX GT3 EVO 22 and the pair of Gen 3 Australian Supercars, as well as Thruxton Circuit, among a lot of other things. To see the full changelog, feel free to click here!

Interestingly, the GTP class seems to be too fast in the latest iRacing build - and by quite a lot, too. For instance, streamer Pablo Araujo posted a comparison video of the Ferrari 499P tackling the Porsche Curves at Le Mans - and the difference in entry speed is staggering.

As iRacing still has not implemented the correct hybrid systems for the contemporary crop of hypercars, this might be part of the issue - but the big difference is unlikely to be explained by just that. GTP being one of the more popular classes on the service, this is likely something that iRacing will work hard to fix as quickly as possible.

I racing has fallen and more and more sim racers are heading over to AMS 2 its blood y good.
Cancelled my subscription to i racing because they introduce more cars and track that you pay for.
But graphics and tire model are rubbish.
They don't get it listen to the people and there wants like AMS 2 have done
And done extremely well

I wouldn't give you 2 bob for either ( shrugs )

Oh it's okay for you to call rubbish but not me, got it :p

Exactly. I bought Iracing for one year during black Friday. I tried AMS2 yesterday on LFM and despite great races I had in iRracing I really regret buying this subscription. I think I will be using only free content for this year if I will be playing iRacing at all.
AMS2 is so much better looking game in VR and I have great cars and tracks in base game. I also can have working cockpit mirrors on my RTX4060 witch isn't easy in iRacing.

The debris overhaul feels interesting so far. Certainly a noticeable change in grip, my league decided for one of our week13 races to pull a bunch of gravel onto the track in practice and it was almost like rallycross by the end.
The buildup of dirt on the windscreen of the car was a nice touch with it and the audio of the gravel on track certainly made it easy enough to tell what was going on.

New M2 feels pretty nice too. League decided we'd run it for our next series and quite looking forward to it.
Stock setup seems to understeer like the GT4 but the lower level of aero feels like it gives a pretty nice level of stability that you can get the car to step out a little.
