[AMS2] F1 1999 Season 1.02

The 1999 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 53rd season of FIA Formula One motor racing.

It featured the 1999 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1999 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a sixteen-race series that commenced on 7 March and ended on 31 October.

Defending champion Mika Häkkinen was again awarded the World Driver's Championship. His team McLaren just missed out: it was Ferrari that clinched the World Constructors' Championship by a margin of four points.

It was the final season for 1996 world champion Damon Hill. Michael Schumacher was injured on the first lap of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. His brakes failed, and he broke his leg. He missed 6 races and returned at the Malaysian Grand Prix.


This Mod-package contains car liveries, in game Reiza-style previews, driver helmets, suits & gloves for the Formula V10 Gen 2 from the 1999 season.

This package comes with two special liveries : Fernando Alonso as test driver for Minardi, and the unraced Honda RA099 testing livery.

Included is also an custom AI Drivers file with driver names. AI driver skills have been adjusted and finetuned to match the 1999 season.


The XML Selector allows you to customize the mod in a very simple way : go to your Automobilista 2 folder and run the "F1_Season_1999_XML_Selector.bat" file. Select a scenario by typing the option of your choice and hit enter.

The mod gives you following scenario options to choose from :

1. Round 01,06,07,08,15,16 - Melbourne, Montreal, Magny-Cours, Silverstone, Sepang, Suzuka (Default grid)
2. Round 02 - Interlagos (Sarrazin replaces Badoer in the Minardi)
3. Round 03,04,05 - Imola, Monaco, Barcelona (Badoer is back, Mika Salo replaces Zonta for British American Racing)
4. Round 09,10,11,12,13,14 - A1Ring, Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Spa, Monza, Nurburgring (Mika Salo replaces an injured Michael Schumacher)
5. Preseason - British American Racing enters F1 with two different liveries : Lucky Strike for Villeneuve, 555 for Zonta
